“We found out he was arrested because of a video someone uploaded to TikTok that was recorded inside the house. When they approached him, the neighbors were yelling that they shouldn’t have taken him away, and he didn’t do anything,” his wife said.
The non-governmental organization Foro Penal updated on Monday morning the number of detainees during the protests against the CNE results that saw Nicolás Maduro win: it specified that there are 1,010 detainees to date, 91 of whom are teenagers.
This was indicated by a publication on their social networks, in which they stressed that this number corresponds to arrests that took place between July 29 and August 5, at 10:00 am.
He specified that there were 11 murders but that they were “under review.”
According to statistics, the state with the highest number of arrests was the National Capital Region, with 176 detainees, followed by Carabobo, with 140 detainees, and Anzoátegui, with 112 detainees.
Foro Penal recalls that it activated two telephone numbers for help and complaints: 0412.556.82.11 and 0412.556.82.12.
