Recently, the President of the Uganda National Musicians’ Federation (UNMF), Eddy Kenzo, responded to concerns raised by the mother of late singer Mowzey Radio, Ms Jane Kasuubo.
Ms Kasubo has been seeking help to acquire a piece of land worth 350 million Uganda shillings where her son’s grave is located.
Eddie Kenzo confirmed that he was contacted by Ms Kasubo regarding the matter. He acknowledged that huge amounts of money were involved and shared his interactions with the landowner.First of all, 350 million Ugandan shillings is a lot of money. Radio’s mother did approach me about this. I also spoke to the owner of the land on the phone and he seemed to be bragging because he knew his land was in high demand.“Kenzo told reporters.
The situation gained widespread attention after Ms Kasubo made a public plea for help, asking friends and fans of the late Mowzey Radio to help raise funds to ensure her son is buried on land in Kaaga, Wakiso District.
The call has drawn strong reactions from the public and celebrities, with many expressing concern and support, while others have questioned it.
