Experts in the global diabetes community have spoken out about the risk that people may confuse diabetes symptoms with those of less dangerous conditions, the British newspaper Daily Express reports.

So, according to doctors, one of these symptoms is constant fatigue, which is often associated with stress, hard work, and nighttime sleep disturbances. RIA Novosti.

According to them, this condition also occurs due to an imbalance between the level of glucose in the body’s blood and the amount of circulating insulin.

They add that there may not be enough insulin, or conversely, its concentration may be too high but the body’s cells are insensitive to it.

“The sugar in the blood does not enter the cells, which is why they do not receive the necessary energy, and therefore we feel tired,” the newspaper quoted an expert as saying.

Doctors also point out that in addition to chronic fatigue, symptoms of diabetes include dry mouth, unquenchable thirst, weight loss, poor wound healing, excessive urination (especially at night), itching around the genitals, and blurred vision.

According to current data from the World Health Organization, the world has been experiencing an obesity epidemic since the 1980s. One in three people in the world are overweight, and about 15% of them suffer from severe obesity. About 47% of diseases, such as atherosclerosis, stroke, heart disease, diabetes and cancer, are related to such metabolic disorders.
