Early payment, DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will give incentives to PBB-P2 in 2024: Okezone Economy

JAKARTA – There is good news for Jakarta residents who own property and land. The good news is that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is offering incentives to taxpayers who pay PBB-P2 in early 2024. There are also incentives in the form of principal PBB reduction and administrative penalty exemption.

Morris Danny, head of the Baponda Income Data and Information Center in Jakarta, explained that the PBB basic relief is 10% for payments made between June 4 and August 31, 2024, and 5% for payments made between September 1 and November 30, 2024.

“At the same time, taxpayers who pay PBB-P2 for tax years 2013 to 2023 between June 4 and November 30, 2024, are exempt from administrative penalties; pay off the principal of the PBB-P2 prior to the enactment of this Governor’s Regulation but are still subject to administrative penalties; pay the PBB-P2 installment before the last installment payment schedule is due, and; “are not subject to installment interest sanctions and late payment interest,” Morris explained.

Next is the payment incentive provision, which only applies to PBB-P2 which is still to be paid, taxpayers do not need to submit an application to receive this incentive, and; PBB payments can be made in various ways through all payment channels in cooperation with the Jakarta Provincial Government.

“The PBB payment incentive has at least three benefits, first, helping to reduce the burden on communities to pay PBB; improving taxpayer compliance in paying PBB, and; supporting the optimization of regional revenues for the PBB industry,” Morris said.

The DKI Jakarta PBB Payment Incentive Policy 2024 provides taxpayers with the opportunity to obtain basic relief and exemption from administrative penalties. This incentive is the government’s effort to encourage taxpayers to comply with the regulations on paying PBB and help reduce the social burden while the economic situation remains unstable.

Morris Dannie invites taxpayers in the DKI Jakarta area to take full advantage of this incentive and pay for PBB-P2 in early 2024.

“By paying PBB payments, we are contributing to building a more advanced and prosperous Jakarta,” Morris said at the end of the statement.
