DV income days: Damir is the only one to break the million mark – Emil has not reached 200,000

Breiðablik player Damir Muninovic was the player who received the most bonuses in the men’s best league last year. This was shown in the tax records of the Tax Administration that were made public yesterday.

Damir’s monthly salary last year was well over a million, but he was the only player to reach seven figures. Next was Valsarinn Frederik Schram, who earned 745,000, and then his teammate Hólmar Örn Eyjólfsson, who earned 735,000. Damir’s teammate Höskuldur Gunnlaugsson earned almost as much as Hólmar.

The lowest earner on last year’s list was Emil Atlason, a forward for Sjönen. He was well behind the next man. Emil signed a new contract with Garðbæinga this winter and it is understood that his terms are not included in this review.
