Astana’s Special Interdistrict Court for Administrative Crimes has sentenced a man who damaged another person’s car while drunk Tengri News Network.
According to the court press service, the case against Citizen T. was heard on Thursday.
“According to the facts of the case, the criminal T. kicked M.’s vehicle and intentionally damaged the rearview mirror, front bumper and headlights, causing material damage,” the news release said.
It was explained that the Astana resident admitted guilt.
The circumstances of the crime were confirmed by video footage, the police inspector’s report and the man’s own written explanation. The court accepted that the crime was aggravated by being drunk.
“By the court decision, T. was found guilty of the crime provided for in part 1 of article 147-1 of the Code of Administrative Offences and, taking into account the high level of public danger and the nature of the crime committed, was sentenced to an administrative penalty of fifteen days of administrative detention in order to achieve the objectives provided for in paragraph 2 of article 40 of the Code of Administrative Offences.”
