(Central Nervous System) renew: A second man has been arrested in connection with a drug boat seizure in Cayman Brac this morning, police say. A third man remains at large. The boat and drugs were found on a beach on the south side of the island this morning (Thursday, August 22), and the first man was arrested shortly after. Local RCIPS, Customs and Border Control (CBC) and Department of Environment (DoE) officers are currently searching for the remaining fugitive.
Additional support was provided from Grand Cayman, including from the RCIPS Air Operations Unit and the Cayman Islands Coast Guard.
Police said this morning that one of the fugitives was of medium build, dark complexion and had short dreadlocks. He was barefoot and wearing a black shirt. Police have not yet said whether this description matches the appearance of the man who is still at large.
Police reminded people on Brac to remain vigilant and urged boat owners on the Sister Islands to ensure their boats were safe.
Anyone who sees a suspicious person on the Brac is asked to call 911 or contact the Brac station directly at 948-0331.
