On Saturday evening, a passenger bus driver crashed into a double transmission tower with transformers of NV Energie Bedrijven (EBS) in Suriname in Guaranistrat.
It is not clear how the driver caused the traffic accident. No personal injuries occurred.
After receiving the report, the police went to the scene to investigate.
As you can see from the photos, the vehicle was severely damaged. The car was towed away by a towing service.
At the time of writing, the neighborhood is completely dark. EBS technicians are working to restore power to the area.
