“Dreamers should know that their actions will not go unanswered” – this was U.S. Congressman Bill Keating’s response to the states freezing $95 million in aid to the Georgia government.

A Western diplomat wrote on the social network “X” that countries would not support “a government that undermines democracy and the rule of law.”

“Georgian Dream should know that their actions will not go unanswered. The United States will continue to support the people of Georgia as they seek a future in Euro-Atlantic institutions. But we will not support a government that undermines democracy and the rule of law,” Keating wrote.

The United States of America has suspended more than $ 95 million in aid to the Georgian authorities – this is stated in the statement of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, which was broadcast on X by journalist Alex Raufoglu.

The Secretary of State’s statement is also available on the State Department’s website.

Aid that directly benefits the Georgian government is being halted.

The Secretary of State said this was a response to the Georgian government’s anti-democratic actions and false statements, which were inconsistent with the norms of EU and NATO membership.

However, Blinken said in a statement that the United States will continue to support programs and activities that benefit the Georgian people by strengthening democracy, the rule of law, and economic development.
