Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board of Dragon Oil, a wholly owned company of the Dubai Government, has opened the company’s largest regional office outside the UAE in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, to strengthen the company’s investment in expanding Turkmenistan’s oil and gas sector.
“The opening of the company’s regional office in Turkmenistan is the result of our presence in Turkmenistan for more than 25 years and marks the beginning of a new chapter of serious and fruitful cooperation with Turkmenistan,” said Al Tayer, adding that Dragon Oil aims to increase production in the country where it operates, which currently stands at 180,000 to 250,000 barrels per day, with production at these locations set to grow naturally by the end of 2025, and Turkmenistan is paying close attention to this expected growth.
