It was a done deal after Karthik bid a fond farewell to IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bengaluru following their loss to Rajasthan Royals. After 10 days, Karthik has finally officially announced his retirement.
“After a period of careful consideration, I have decided not to play for the cricket team anymore. I officially announce my retirement, bid farewell to my playing days and embrace new challenges in the future,” Karthik wrote in a statement on social media.
