DGA launches online services platform

Santo Domingo – IT Management and Projects Department holds seminar: “DGA Service Platform”with the aim of demonstrating to taxpayers the benefits of this new tool through which they can carry out their procedures easily and securely.

along with “DGA Service Platform”, DGeneral Administration of Customs (DGA)) provides users with an affordable tool that integrates with major systems such as Integrated Customs Management System （Signia)and Single Window for External Trade (VUCE).

Vice Minister of Science and Technology, Daniel Penaon behalf of the Director General of Customs, Eduardo Sanz Lovatonsaid that with this new tool, “we reaffirm our commitment to becoming a more modern and stronger entity, with clear guidelines and practical objectives, emphasizing transparency and efficiency in the services we provide to taxpayers.”

“It’s not just a simple technological development, it’s a clear awareness that taxpayers come first, because you can get services more easily and more seamlessly, and commerce and everything we do takes on a different meaning,” Peña said.

“We want to automate all customs services, not only for taxpayers but also for the entities’ employees, as this tool can help us streamline processes and bureaucracy, thereby reducing discretion in procedures.”

“From APP DGA R&D or this page, taxpayers can perform processes that previously had to go to an agency, thus reducing time, costs and procedures,” Sanchez said.

The services provided by the platform are divided into three categories: general services, import services and export services, which are further divided into transaction services and information services, among which the automated processes of different departments of DGA are distributed.
