These are the questions reflected in the consumer confidence index, which is surprisingly weak despite the recent surprisingly good economic performance.
Today on the show: Even though unemployment and inflation are falling, we’re very disappointed with the state of the economy. So, what’s going on? We talked to a former Federal Reserve economist to try to get to the heart of this paradox, and traveled to Michigan to find out what’s going on there.
