I can’t remember the last time I cooked, let alone the last time I finished two plates of beans. Somehow, I always avoid it and replace it with chickpeas, which usually seem more versatile. Of course, this is just my idea, because beans are really a versatile food, in fact, you can make almost anything with them, just like chickpeas.
To correct the injustice I did to the beans, I put them in the best summer sauce you can imagine, and I will repeat what I said from the beginning, I cleared two whole pans of this dish. It was absolutely delicious, creamy, full of summer flavor, and it was actually ready in about twenty minutes.
Best of all, you don’t even need a spoon or fork to enjoy summer beans, toasted bread slices are enough, with which you can collect the bean dip from the plate (or directly from the bowl). In addition, you can always add bacon or sausage to the mix; this time I chose the latter, but generally I make dishes like this without meat additives, and they are just as delicious. Summer Bean
You will need:
1 Luke
3 cloves garlic (plus 1 for the bread)
1 chili powder
1 small chili pepper
1 pair of sausages
1 large or 2 medium tomatoes
1 tsp paprika
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon thyme
1 can of beans
1 handful fresh basil
Some fresh parsley
The floor is falling apart
A little sugar
olive oil
Zest of half a lemon
Stock or water
Prepare:
First, sauté diced or half-moon onions in olive oil. When the color changes, add crushed garlic, then chopped bell pepper and some hot peppers. Add sausage cut into rings. Add fennel, thyme and bell pepper. Cook for a while, then add chopped tomatoes. Cook for about 10 minutes, until the liquid evaporates. Season with salt, pepper and a little sugar. Add a little water or stock and cook until the vegetables are soft. In the meantime, chop the basil and put part of it in the dish you are cooking, and the other part in another bowl with some chopped parsley, grated lemon zest, a little salt and three tablespoons of olive oil. Stir well. When the sauce is almost ready, grind part (without the sausage) with a stick blender or blender. Return to the pot, add the rinsed beans and cook for another two or three minutes. Serve hot, sprinkle with some olive oil and spices on top. Serve with bread slices, put the bread slices in the pot, add a little olive oil, toast until the bread slices are brown and crispy, then sprinkle with garlic.
