This is what Veneto can achieve based on the data related to the first quarter of 2024, which shows double-digit growth in both arrivals and attendances compared to the same period in 2023. In the period from January to March, arrivals grew by 12%, while attendances grew by 2%. An increase of 12.6%, that is, 2,968,562 arrivals and 7,394,995 attendances. This is what the data of Confindustria Veneto Est reveal, in Veneto East, where, according to data from the Veneto Region, there were 1,891,138 arrivals (+20.5% compared to the same period in 2023) and 4,400,245 overnight stays (+11.5% compared to the same period in 2023), a clear increase over 2019, which showed a 7.8% increase in arrivals and a 6.1% increase in attendances. The number of tourists to Veneto in 2023 was 21 million, of which nearly 13.6 million were in Eastern Veneto and 71.9 million in Eastern Veneto, with an increase in the number of tourists to cities of art (+22.7%). Mountains (+15.3%), followed by thermal springs (+10.2%), lakes (+8.8%) and seaside (+7 .6%). Seaside tourism ranked first, with nearly 26 million tourists, followed by cities of art (24.5 million), lakes (14 million), mountains (4.5 million) and spas (2.8 million).
In 2024, the outlook is positive, with growth in the number and presence of international tourists, reaching 65.8 million, up 2.1%; and 266.1 million tourists, up 1.1%, located in the main regions of the Belgian region such as Veneto, but also growing in tourists from countries such as Poland and the Czech Republic, as well as from the United States, Germany, France and Austria.
