Mexican singer-songwriter Danna Paola will share her life through a documentary titled “We Have to Talk,” which will be released on the streaming platform “Disney+.”
“I want to tell my story, I don’t want other people to tell it for me, or talk about something they’ve never experienced,” the actress also said at VidCon Mexico 2024.
Through this documentary, the artist attempts to take a sincere look at her life and career, addressing both the positive aspects and the challenges she faced.
In the documentary, Dana Paula delves into her experiences growing up in the public eye. The 29-year-old artist reflects on how fame and exposure have affected her personal development.
The singer described the project as an opportunity to reconcile with her “inner child” and accept that she has evolved over time. He also commented:
“I’ve been in the middle since I was 5 years old. Of course, it has its dark side. It’s part of me having to embrace and discover my inner child. “I’m 29 years old and I’m starting to reconcile with my inner child.
“So I also invite you to reflect a little bit. This is also a reflection that is worth embracing. Not to blame anybody, but today the girl came to me and told me: ‘It was not in vain. This is not bad,'” he continued at the press conference.
Mental health and public stress
The documentary also explores deep topics like mental health and the pressures associated with fame. Danna Paola opens up about the emotional challenges she’s faced and how they’ve affected her life.
“I believe that hitting rock bottom, giving ourselves permission, hitting rock bottom is the best tool and the best gift we can give ourselves as human beings,” the artist comments. “We always allow ourselves to be validated by others, and sometimes we forget what our hearts and instincts really want.”
“In this documentary, I tell about my journey from the beginning of my career to now. How I have evolved as a person during this personal evolution, becoming more calm, less defensive, at peace with myself, my words and my heart,” he concluded.
Finally, a notable feature of the project is the inclusion of music. Danna Paola plans to use her recent album as a tool to showcase her journey.
“It does have music in it, and the story is an introspective journey, just like my last album, Childstar, which came out four months ago. “This is a documentary, and it’s a gift for us to be able to capture this really amazing process and be able to teach you that we can’t tell you a release date.”
