Filipe Nyusi has just appointed Daniel Francisco Chapo as governor of Inhambane Province, replacing Agostinho Trintà.
Trinta was dismissed as incompatible with his recently elected position as Frelimo party secretary.
Daniel Chapo is a lawyer who previously worked for TV Miramar and is currently serving as the government administrator for the Nacaravilla district in the northern province of Cabo Delgado.
