A man with an ongoing domestic violence case has been charged with assaulting a woman and setting her home on fire, according to a Superior Court magistrate complaint. Robert Atinimwar, 28, also known as Atinimwar Robert, was charged Wednesday with second-degree aggravated arson, as well as third-degree malicious damage and domestic violence. The special allegation of arson is a crime against the community because the woman’s home is a GHURA unit. Police were called to the scene of the building fire and assault in Sinajana at 5 a.m. Tuesday. When officers arrived, firefighters were attending to the woman who had visible facial injuries, the complaint states. One of her eyes was swollen shut. She had a cut between her eyebrows, bruising and swelling on her jaw, a red swollen lip and bruises on her shoulder.
