German Shorthaired Pointer K-9 Rex and his handler, Airport Police Officer II Robert J. Umadhay, have been doing well, but now it’s time for Rex to be a dog. For nearly eight years, Rex has brought honor to the airport for his outstanding work using a trained sniffer to protect travelers at the AB Won Pat International Airport Authority and other communities, the airport authority recently announced in a press release. “K-9 Rex and the Umadhay team brought honor to the (Guam International Airport Authority) in 2017 when they were selected to provide explosive detection and enhanced security details for Super Bowl 51 in Houston, Texas, and again for Super Bowl 52 in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 2018…” the airport authority said in a press release.
