Photo: To honor our nation’s heroes and those at home, first responders around the island joined the community in a special celebration. Flashing lights and blaring sirens are common sights and sounds during an emergency that usually mean help is on the way. First responders from the Guam Fire Department, the Navy and Andersen Air Force Base sent out ambulances and fire trucks to hold a parade of lights at some of the island’s public schools. Lt. Jacob Olivas is a member of the Anderson Fire Department staff.
