Cybercrime is a complex and rapidly evolving transnational phenomenon that knows no borders and poses a major threat to human rights, democracy, the rule of law and national and international security.
This was the message delivered by Minister of Lands and Mineral Resources Filimoni Vosarogo when he addressed the National Prosecutors’ Cyber Crime Conference held at the Hilton International Resort today.
In his address to prosecutors, Vosarogo stressed that the conference was an important step in increasing our collective capacity to combat cybercrime.
He said the platform will help participants engage in meaningful conversations and share insights to protect our digital future.
“As we navigate this highly advanced digital age, we must stay ahead of the curve and ensure our criminal justice system is able to meet the unique challenges posed by cybercrime.”
“As participants in this conference and as prosecutors, you are at the forefront of the fight against cybercrime. Your job is not only to bring criminals to justice, but also to send a strong signal that cybercriminals will be held accountable for their actions.”
