Yesterday, the Sustainable Agricultural Development Program “Saudi Arabia Rural” in cooperation with the branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in the Bahah region organized a cultural meeting on keeping queen bees and good practices in beekeeping as part of efforts to strengthen the capacity of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture to implement the Sustainable Agricultural Rural Development Program in Al-Mandaq and Al-Aqiq. All the steps of technology and management were explained in a simple and understandable way.
The meeting included an introduction to honey bee queen rearing and good beekeeping practices, as well as queen rearing techniques such as the Division Method, Ghent Framework Method, Miller Method, and good practices for beekeeping during the flowering season and the feed shortage season.
A group of experts attended the meeting to exchange experiences and ideas and discuss queen bee husbandry and good practices in beekeeping.
