Criminal gang controlling Pine Forest arrested in Semipalatinsk

According to the Ministry of the Interior, a total of 20 people were identified as suspects. A sawing machine used to saw ten cubic meters of wood and planks, a large amount of money and documents were confiscated. The heads of the reserve, which is supposed to protect the forest, turned a blind eye to the illegal activities of the criminal group.

The official was accused of collusion with forest rangers, abuse of power, corruption and falsification of documents. All were sent to a temporary detention center and the case is under further investigation.
