While expressing its deepest condolences to the families of the victims and colleagues in the police agency, the Canadian Police Service has expressed outrage at the “ambush” that killed three national police officers who were part of the Provisional Anti-Gang Unit (Utag).

“Despite messages and distress calls to the National Police General Management, the brave and fearless police officers have once again fallen under the vicious bullets, but they are powerless to protect the police and ensure the safety of the people”, said the Office of Citizen Protection (OPC) in a note.

Police officers from all units are requested to actively unite and jointly combat the serial assassinations against members of this organization.
“Faced with the abuses documented at the national police level for almost three years, the population is waiting with grief for concrete decisions by members of the Presidential Transition Council (Cpt) and the Prime Minister,” OPC.
