The public should note that from 8 May 2022, the COVID-19 online vaccination website vax.gov.bs has been upgraded to accommodate the scheduling of second booster doses. Vaccine recipients who do not need an appointment will also be able to receive their booster dose at a vaccination centre. Information about the second booster dose will automatically be included in the customer’s existing record and will appear on new printed certificates and vaccination status checks using the vax.gov.bs website.
The public is reminded that the following COVID-19 vaccination appointments can also be scheduled through the online vaccination website vax.gov.bs:
➢ First and second doses of vaccine
Pfizer vaccine is suitable for people aged 12 and above
➢ 1st booster dose
Recommended for all persons aged 12 years and over:
• 5 months after the second dose of AstraZeneca/Pfizer vaccine, or
• After taking a single dose of Johnson & Johnson for 2 months
➢ Second booster dose
The first booster dose can be used within 4 months after:
• People aged 50 and above,
• People 12 years and older who are moderately to severely immunocompromised, and
• People 18 and older who have received one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine and the first booster
➢ Extended series of doses
For people 12 years and older who are moderately to severely immunocompromised 1-3 months after receiving the second dose of the AstraZeneca/Pfizer vaccine or the Johnson & Johnson single-dose vaccine (walk-in only)
First and second doses, first and second booster doses, and extended series vaccines can be received by booking an appointment online or visiting New Providence Hospital:
• Elizabeth Manor Clinic – Thursdays from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• Flamingo Gardens Clinic – Thursdays from 1:00pm to 5:00pm.
• Fleming Street Clinic – Thursday afternoons from 4:00 to 6:00.
• South Beach Health Center – Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
• Marathon Mall – Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
People with limited mobility can request a home visit by emailing vax242.mobile@gmail.com.
The 1 and 2 doses of the vaccine, 1 and 2 booster doses, and extended series doses for Grand Bahama and the Family Islands can be administered by booking an appointment online or by visiting the following locations:
• Susan J. Wallace Center (Grand Bahama Island) Monday through Friday – 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Local clinics on Family Islands during outpatient hours
