Uno-X’s Magnus Cort wins stage 2 of the Critérium du Dauphiné. For a long time it looked like Bruno Amiel was on his way to stage victory, but the Frenchman was overtaken in the final 100 meters before Magnus Cort won the sprint ahead of Primos Roglic and Mateo Jorgensen. With the win, Cort takes over the leader’s jersey from his compatriot Mads Pedersen.
The second stage of the Critérium du Dauphiné involved climbing for the first time, but the intense climbs were yet to come. A lead group of five quickly formed, with the Fugitives taking a five-minute lead before Primoz Roglic’s team took the lead in the peloton.
