The ITV star, who plays Sean Tully’s son Dylan Wilson in the soap, said Dylan Wilson spent two days in hospital.

The 17-year-old actor updated fans on his condition, not revealing the reason for his hospitalization but thanking NHS staff for their help.

Mccheyne wrote on X (formerly Twitter): “Morning greetings to our amazing NHS.

“Especially everyone at Royal Oldham who have looked after me so well over the last two days.

“What a mess we would be without them.”

The Corrie star’s fans were quick to show their support for the young actor, with one writing: “I hope Liam is doing well and getting back to full health soon. I hope your family are doing well… have a great week everyone!”

Another wrote: “OMG I hope you are OK @LiamMccheyne, sending you my love I’m so glad you got yours back my star boy.”

The ITV star first appeared on Corrie in 2011, when he shared the role of Dylan with his twin brother Conor.

In 2022, Liam decided to stay on the cobbled streets while his brother wanted to pursue a career in cricket.

Previously, Anthony Cotton, who plays Dylan’s dad in the soap, told Express about what it was like sharing the stage with Liam: “It was fantastic, not nerve-wracking at all. I’ve loved and known him and his twin brother since they were babies.

“It’s great to have the twins in my life and Liam is back. Connor is no longer doing the work, it’s Liam doing it on his own.

“It’s very special to me. Are we like one big family? Absolutely. We have to be. We are together every day, so we have to keep going!”
