No injuries were recorded among the passengers. A replacement aircraft was dispatched to the scene. Flight AH-1460 landed at Lyon Saint Exupery Airport 11 hours late.

According to the specialized website Aviation Herald, Air Algerie has not yet communicated about the incident caused by “cabin depressurization”, and the website did not provide other details about the cause of the “depressurization”.

The crashed plane has been parked on the tarmac at Constantine airport since last Sunday.

The national airline has not yet made any comment on the incident, which has caused fear among passengers on board. Some passengers on this flight filmed the incident and posted their videos on social networks, in which we can see the deployment of oxygen masks.

When the cabin depressurizes (pressure drops), these masks fall down, allowing passengers to breathe normally and preventing hypoxia and fainting. When the mask falls down, passengers must pull it toward themselves to get oxygen.

Their autonomy is between 12 and 15 minutes, which is enough to descend from cruising altitude (10,000 meters) to the so-called breathing altitude (4,000 meters).
