The Congolese Observatory for Human Rights (OCDH) has appointed Mr. Georges Nguila as its new Executive Director, who will succeed Mr. Trésor Chadon Nzila Kendet. Perfect Moukoko.
“The decision to dismiss the former director, Mr. Trésor Nzila, stems from the serious concerns of the OCDH Board of Directors during its extraordinary meeting on June 29-30, 2021, and the overwhelming and proven observation that the organization’s management is increasingly opaque and chaotic, lacking forward-looking capacity, initiative and innovation.
The OCDH board said this situation has left the organization increasingly isolated from other major challenges facing human rights and democratic governance currently taking place in the Republic of Congo.
The new Executive Director of OCDH, Mr. Goerges Nguila, is a writer, a graduate in political science and an early member of the organization founded on March 4, 1994 in Brazzaville for the defense and promotion of human rights.
He has since been Director of Department at the Pointe-Noire branch of the OCDH, in charge of the departments of Kouilou and Pointe-Noire. His deputy will be Mr. Roger Abonguélé, “explains the press release signed by Ghislain Germain Ayina, in charge of communications.
