The Panyikwara community in Magwe County, Eastern Equatoria State, met with the governor on Friday. Louis Lobon Lohoré collapse Oweni Keble – Atterby Bridge.
The meeting discussed the impact of the bridge collapse on farms, education, health facilities and security.
Community chairman Angelo Mark Oringa said the purpose of the meeting was to push the government to repair the bridge.
He said the state and national governments had conducted several assessments but no action had been taken.

He confirmed the dire situation facing the community and assured them that the government was committed to resolving the crisis.
“The governor has directed that the bridge be assessed. We will be able to repair it and fix the problem. The situation is not good because most people are not able to enjoy the services,” he said.
