On July 21 this year, Tenth Secretary General of the International Olympic Committeeinvited Huguette Bello, President of the Reunion Region, who was passing through Antananarivo, for the first interview.

The first meeting was a warm handshake around regional cooperation among IOC Member States, an opportunity to discuss common projects and opportunities to strengthen partnerships: health, education (including professional training), blue economy, security and environment. This exchange raised regional priorities for sustainable development at the crossroads of the Indian Ocean. The current themes were promoting responsible management of natural resources, protecting biodiversity and combating climate change.
