The John Oderberg Society Board of Directors has decided to invite all Midsummer celebrants to a coffee party to mark Midsummer Eve as a thank you to the membership for their strong support and all the praise for the Society’s work.
It was also a real coffee party with delicious cinnamon buns from Viktoriabageriet.
The atmosphere was at its best with the pleasant summer weather, the Midsummer Pillars and the tree-lined outdoor stage, and today’s troubadour, Andreas Nilsson, took to the stage at the stroke of twelve and enchanted nearly three hundred merry Midsummer celebrants for just over an hour.
Andreas highlighted Gunnar Vägman and Dan Andersson in particular, but it was Snoddas Norgren’s performance of “Flottarkärlek” that probably evoked wonder and old memories for many. The applause part was similar to clapping.

Midsummer has always been important for outdoor services in the parish of Örnsköldsvik. The Johan Ödberg Society revived the old worship tradition in 1997 and has continued to do so, bringing joy to many.
Nature at the festival, midsummer poles and lush summer meadows awaken and create space for reflection and gratitude in our daily lives.

The service was provided for this year and this year together with our pastor Carola Sjölind Westin, cantor Erika Sjödin, church steward Helen Östmar Rosdahl, Robert Edlund and sound technician John Bylin
Finally, thank you all for all the hard work that went into making a wonderful Midsummer celebration a reality, filling the city centre with joy for everyone.
Gott Nordmar
