Cinemas were our refuge during the good old days and festive seasons and there is nothing wrong in knowing what cinemas were like in Amman more than half a century ago.

Its pioneers were the velvet class and some of our own people. Thus, Rainbow Cinema was distinguished from other cinemas by its aristocratic temperament!
I don’t remember the name of the film, but I do remember its lead actress, Catherine Deneuve, who was competing with the French queen of seduction, Brigitte Bardot. Deneuve appears in a scene lying on the bed, and she is… totally…
