Chinese company provides presidential plane for Tinubu’s trip to France

Chinese company Zhongshan Fucheng Industrial Investment Co., Ltd. has released one of three Nigerian Airbus A330 aircraft seized in France, following an order from the Paris Justice Court.

According to Punch, the company seized a Dassault Falcon 7X, a Boeing 737-7N6/BBJ and an Airbus A330-243 of the Nigerian federal government stationed at Paris Le Bourget Airport and Basel Mulhouse Airport.

The company announced in a statement on Friday that it had released a seized aircraft as a “goodwill gesture” ahead of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s upcoming meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron.

It said President Tinubu would be allowed to visit France using the Airbus A330 aircraft currently detained in France due to a French court order obtained by Zhongshan Airlines. Read more
