In the semifinals of the German Pomares National Baseball Championship, the Chinandega Tigers scored ten points in the eighth inning to win the game, defeating Caribbean Sur 14-8 and coming within one win of advancing to the finals.

Caribbean Sur led 8-6, but Chinandega allowed seven hits in the eighth inning, while the Caribbean pitchers were not up to par, with Juan Gaitán allowing four runs without an out and Mikel Hooker also allowing three runs without an out, making this the decisive and decisive inning in the challenge.
