Tegucigalpa– President Xiomara Castro met with the Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and President of the GX Sino-British Fortales Foundation to discuss issues related to the fields of health and education and signed an important donation record.
Foreign Minister Enrique Reyna explained that during this important meeting, the focus was on the donation of more than 80 million lempiras for equipment for the early detection of dengue fever, including advanced technology such as anti-dengue lamps.
“We are confident that after today’s meeting we will be well placed to implement our anti-dengue work plan. In addition, we can and will deepen the issues of public health and education,” said Prime Minister Reina.
Working in Latin America for the first time, the GX Foundation has made this important donation to Honduras in the fight against dengue fever, and the donated equipment will detect dengue fever in less than an hour, representing a significant advance in the fight against the disease, the official added.
