BYD (01211) regional head announced on Wednesday that it will set up a factory in Mexico to produce the Song Pro plug-in hybrid sport utility vehicle (hybrid SUV).
According to BYD’s introductory materials released in Mexico, the local retail price of the new car will start from 600,000 pesos (31,000 US dollars).
This is the second time in recent months that BYD has mentioned the possibility of setting up a factory in Mexico.
