It’s one of the hottest properties in town, but it’s also kind of deserted.
A refrigerator was stolen from a trailer at the Esk Valley Gathering Centre following the devastation of Hurricane Gabriel.
The items went missing on Tuesday night or Wednesday morning, along with a barbecue trailer, from the Petane Marae Health Centre on McDonald Street near McLean Park.
A synagogue administrator said it was “adding insult to injury.” The synagogue is using the center while it continues to deal with hurricane insurance and damages.
A police spokesman confirmed on Friday that officers found the barbecue trailer when they attended an address in Marewa on Thursday, but the freezer and trailer were still missing.
