Children died while playing on slides at school, but many parents don’t know

After media reports, many parents of Furo Kindergarten were shocked to learn that a student had died while playing on the slide at school.

Regarding the death of baby T (3 years old) while playing on the slide at Phu Lo Kindergarten (Soc Son) in Soc Son, Hanoi, many parents of children attending the school said that they did not realize the heartbreaking incident until it was reported in the media.

Ms NTD (Tay Doai Village, Doai), whose child attends the 2-year-old class at Phu Lo School, said that so far, she has not received any news about the tragic incident involving the 3-year-old boy at the school.

“I didn’t know about this until the media reported it. Even if I asked, many teachers in the same school didn’t know about it. After hearing about it, my family and I were very worried about sending our children to school,” said Ms. D.

Next, Ms. NTT (Tay Doai Village, Doai Village), who has a 4-year-old child attending this kindergarten, revealed that she knew the information on the day of the incident, but that was because the child’s family lived near her house. The school board also did not inform parents of the incident. She did not see the news circulating in the media until yesterday morning (November 28).

“When I sent my child to class, I saw that the teachers were very caring and attentive to him, so this might just be a rare incident. Of course, the head teacher is also responsible, because when parents send their children here, the teacher is the one who takes care of the children on behalf of the family.” Ms. T expressed her opinion.

Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Hue, Director of the Education and Training Department of Soc Son District, Hanoi City, said that T.’s class is a 3-year-old class, which is taught by 3 teachers, including Do Thi Anh Tuan, Nguyen Thi Trang and Nguyen Thi Spring. All three teachers have worked for many years and have experience in taking care of children. At present, all three teachers have been suspended to cooperate with the investigation.

“The three teachers in charge of T.’s class have been suspended. Immediately after the incident, the three teachers were summoned by the police to testify in court,” said Ms Tran Thi Thanh Hue.

Earlier, the “Traffic News” reported that on November 25, the family sent little T. to Phu Lo Kindergarten. At school, little T. played on the slide. While the baby was playing, unfortunately his head got stuck in the rectangular box of the slide. When the teacher found it, the child was in critical condition.

The school quickly sent Little T to the medical room for emergency treatment, and then to the emergency hospital. However, after nearly half a day of emergency treatment, Little T still died. After completing the formalities, the family took the baby’s body back to their hometown for burial.

According to T.’s relatives, T. was in good health and happy in class when he went to school. After the baby’s head got stuck in the rectangular box of the slide, the boy cried and struggled, but no one noticed. When the teacher found out, it was too late.
