The Child Protection and Psychosocial Support (PSS) Specialist will provide technical leadership and support to guide the effective integration and achievement of child protection and mental health outcomes in Right To Play (RTP) programming. You will provide technical guidance on child protection and PSS standards and approaches. The position will also be responsible for providing skill building, resource development, mentoring and coaching support, including facilitating the PSS Community of Practice and encouraging team learning and best practice in child protection and PSS. You will guide the development of new program models to meet the protection and psychosocial support needs of children in different contexts.

Reporting to the Director of Global Programme Development, you will work closely with a diverse team of programme specialists in the Global Programme Development (GPD) and Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) teams. You will work with child protection specialists and focal points in country offices to ensure that child protection and mental health programmes are developed, implemented and measured in line with global best practices, and learn from effective practices in the field. You will also be responsible for ensuring that child protection and mental health programmes achieve results and are measured appropriately to further RTP’s thought leadership and advocacy work.

International travel expenses account for up to 20% of this position’s annual expenses.
