The tour will start at the CANTV headquarters on Libertador Avenue and continue along Andrés Bello Avenue, through the elevated La Candelaria, Urdaneta Avenue, Puente Llaguno, and end at Miraflores Palace.

Nejum Fernández, Vice President of Mobilization of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) and Head of the Metropolitan Region Government, called for a mobilization this Saturday (August 17) to celebrate the victory of the President of the Republic Nicolás Maduro in the August 28 and July elections and to reject far-right fascism.

“We will march against fascism throughout the country, we have now organized at least 100 cities, the states will go through the capital and municipalities, showing with joy and force that we are aware of the victory,” he said.

It is worth remembering that the Psuvista leaders declared that the militancy will remain in the streets to guarantee peace and coexistence among all people, which is the only way to maintain the tranquility that everyone deserves.

In this sense, Carmen Meléndez, PSUV vice-president for regional and municipal affairs, explained that the mobilization will begin at 1:00 pm with a convoy of motorcycles in front of Cantv on Avenida da Libertador.

Likewise, a march with more than 10,000 motor vehicles is planned to start from Petare, in the municipality of Sucre, Miranda state. Both mobilizations will eventually reach the Miraflores Palace, he said.

The revolutionary leader also commented that groups from the parishes of El Recreo and Sucre will also join in. “People from all parishes will march from the morning, vigilant and peaceful, in support of our head of state,” he noted.
