The Supreme Court today (17th) withdrew the petition filed by former State Minister Ms. Diana Gamache seeking the issuance of a decision by Samaj Jana Balavejaya to revoke her position as a Member of Parliament.
When the petition was filed today, lawyers representing Ms. Diana Gamache said there was no need to continue with the petition.
Accordingly, the lawyer requested the court to allow him to withdraw.
Accordingly, the Supreme Court allowed the petition to be withdrawn.
