Yesterday (Saturday), the CEO launched the Kingdom’s celebrations of World Meteorological Day, which included a number of colorful activities at the Main Central Headquarters in Jeddah and in various regions of the Kingdom through information and educational exhibitions, interactive activities, interactive murals, and the “Be a Weather Forecast Host” competition.
The Centre also honoured the outstanding winners of the ‘Weather Anchor’ competition which saw exciting interactions between men, women and children at Mall of Arabia in Jeddah.
It is worth noting that World Meteorological Day is celebrated on March 23 every year, which coincides with the founding of the World Meteorological Organization in 1950 AD. As an international umbrella, it focuses on all matters related to weather, weather and climate forecasting, and provides an effective channel for international cooperation in this important field to promote development and urbanization as well as the stability of human and biological life on the earth’s surface.
