Young students flocked to the corridors of the Palais des Congrès in Tunis for the fifth Employability Salon organized by the Central University, part of the Honors Union University Complex, Africa’s first private higher education network. The slogan was “Skills for 21st Century Employment”.

The Employment Salon is an essential annual event for students and graduates who seek vocational training opportunities and integration into the labor market to enhance the skills acquired during academic training. The event saw the appearance of institutions affiliated to the Honors Union University complex, such as Central University, IMSET and AAC.

As in previous years, the event aims to provide 1,243 students with the opportunity to meet with recruitment officials from different fields, submit resumes and participate in interviews to ensure their integration into the professional field and obtain training and employment opportunities in prestigious institutions.

Throughout the day, participating students had the opportunity to participate in interactive workshops, in addition to seminars given by experts in their field, to help and inform students to develop the professional world they aspire to. The sessions were attended by well-known personalities from various fields to share experiences, such as Ms. Dorsaf Bedjaoui, CEO of Sofrecom, Mr. Mohamed Ben Attia, Tunisian director and screenwriter, and Ms. Ibtihal Ben Hadij, CEO of the Human Resources Group.

The diversity of the participating institutions was one of the strengths of this running salon. In addition to the participation of many partners from Central University, IMSET and AAC, students were able to discover a wide range of industries and professional fields through local start-ups and multinational companies, and each pavilion provided a unique and different opportunity to discover available running opportunities. For the students, this event was more than just a running salon.

It provides them with a valuable opportunity to apply the skills acquired in their academic training and transform them into gains and knowledge that will serve their professional future and understand the requirements of the labor market. The conference confirmed 1,826 employment opportunities abroad and about 1,071 vocational training opportunities, of which 128 were accepted on the spot, which reflects the value of these activities and the opportunities they provide for students to shape their career paths. 576 students submitted their resumes, reflecting the enthusiasm and determination of the participants to seize employment opportunities.

It demonstrates the commitment of the institution owners to assessing potential candidates and interviewing them. The new edition of the Employment Salon once again demonstrates the role of the Central University as an educational institution committed to training students and accompanying them on their professional journey. A true integration into the labor market. The conference contributes to strengthening the relationship between the university and the labor market by providing all conditions to create a suitable environment for exchange and cooperation between students and institutions, as well as direct employment opportunities. The partnerships reached are considered the basis for future cooperation and enrichment of vocational training and employment projects, which will benefit all academic and professional groups.
