The Commonwealth Election Commission will hold a special election for the Board of Education in Rota. Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands Governor Arnold Palacios sent a letter to the CEC on Tuesday announcing that Board of Education Chairman Herman Atalig, who resigned last month, is being considered for the position first.
