(CNS): Prime Minister Julianna O’Connor-Connolly did not attend Parliament on Monday and will miss the remainder of the fourth sitting of the 2023/2024 session this week because she has contracted COVID-19, officials said. In her absence, Deputy Prime Minister Andre Ebanks will deputize, with Tourism Minister Kenneth Bryan serving as deputy prime minister. Although Bryan was absent when Parliament began on Monday morning, he is expected to attend for the rest of the week.

However, there has been no indication as to why the Prime Minister could not attend the meeting virtually.

Apart from Government agenda It has submitted several reports and will table several private members’ bills, while the opposition has also submitted more than a dozen parliamentary issues.
