The report said the fire department suspected it might be arson “because the fire apparently started in multiple places at the same time.”
The Jerusalem Post said police had launched an investigation into the fire and were “concurrently conducting investigative operations and searching for suspects in the area.”
The situation in East Jerusalem and the occupied West Bank has been tense since the October 7 uprising.
