As the campaign for the July 28 presidential elections begins with one of the largest demonstrations of support in recent years, the “Our 21st Century Venezuela” command – for the re-election of Nicolás Maduro – starts with two specific points in the capital.
The geographical spaces of Caracas and Miranda merged together, forming a huge red tide from early morning to late night, waiting for the candidates from their homeland in Zulia state to officially start their campaign earlier.
As promised by those in charge of mobilizing the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (Psuv), 70 cities across the country deployed their entire political team, creating a dynamic backdrop, according to the Great Patriotic Pole. Next July 28 marks the 70th birthday of its leader, President Hugo Chávez.
In Greater Caracas, the capital was filled with crowds, music, colors and joy in support of Nicolás Maduro, with people from all walks of life in the country present to accompany the country’s candidate.
Sister Pilar Rodríguez, a resident of the independent municipality of Valles del Tuy, said: “We from the Patria Para Todos party, the PSU and the entire Great Patriotic Pole support the votes to defend Nicolás Maduro in the same way.
When asked why she voted for Maduro, she responded, “Because he is an exemplary, humble man, dedicated to helping his people, the working class, and we all support Maduro in defending that vote.”
Leoncio Berasategui, also from Valles del Tuy, said the importance of participating and providing strong support to candidate Maduro is to “preserve our social mission, our revolutionary project that protects the poorest and most in need, and that is what we will keep on July 28 this year.”
A representative of the Socialist Commune, Yalai Díaz of the Cartier Brothers, accompanied candidate Nicolás Maduro, because he knew that Maduro was a completely humble revolutionary leader.
He assured that “Venezuela needs not change, but a courageous president who thinks about our workers, adults and seniors. I advise everyone to vote with conscience this July 28 for our Venezuela. The only thing the empire wants is all of us.”
The number of motor vehicles is 10,000.
PSUV Machinery activated 10 motorists who gave unlimited support to Maduro as a re-election candidate.
The different groups that brought together the so-called “Iron Horse of the Revolution” deployed a route that included starting from Miranda Park in the city of Sucre, crossing the entire Cacique Guaicaipuro highway, reaching Bolivar Avenue – a great stop – and then moving to Miraflores.
Edmundo Marcano, a member of the Caracas Supremacy Mobilization Association, explained: “This big family has come together and we have demonstrated strength and deployment throughout Caracas in support of Maduro.
He described the candidate as a “man of peace who guarantees support for motor vehicles,” adding that “we are parents, motorcycle taxis, motorcycle spinners, transporters from all walks of life who come here without paying anything.” . “We come here with confidence and conviction because we believe that Nicolás Maduro can be re-elected.”
Marcano said the idea of adding machinery is because now “we have 10,000 people, but soon we will have 20,000 motorized because we have a victorious driver who supports the union.”
Manuel Rincón, from the parish of La Vega, deputy of the Psuvi Motorized Brigade, noted that “we all came out with different forms of iron horses and different organizations such as unions, associations, fronts to support and give our troops our full support”. Candidate Nicolás Maduro “is a candidate of the Fatherland who has never bowed to any empire, that is why we come with great love and affection to support our Gallo Pinto”.
He added that we have “a conscious, free, sovereign people and you will see that on July 28, we will vote for Maduro with the touch of Diana and with 1×10 on every iron horse.”
