July 30 (United News Agency) – A Cambodian military helicopter that went missing two weeks ago has been found with both pilots on board dead, officials said.
Ministry explain The helicopter went missing on July 12 during a training mission in Cambodia’s western Pursat province and was found on Monday.
Pilot Kheng Chhaiyuth was found dead in his helicopter seat and the search for Sun Phalla is still going on.
Search and rescue teams found Farah’s body at 10:30 a.m. local time Tuesday, about 688 feet from the helicopter. A statement.
“Currently, due to heavy rainfall in the area, the search and rescue team has not been able to transport the bodies to the command center by helicopter,” the report said.
“The Ministry of National Defense would like to express its deepest condolences to the families of the victims through this announcement. The sacrifice of the two pilots is a loss of human resources for the Cambodian military, especially the air force, which is very sad.”
The helicopter reportedly lost contact with the Air Force Headquarters while on a training mission in the mountainous area of Pursat province on the evening of July 12 and subsequently went missing.
