Calica asks Venezuelans to conduct their own towing operation on June 28

Former independent presidential candidate Andrés Calleca renews his call to organize and support electoral witnesses to guarantee the victory of Edmundo González

“You start your tow action in your house, in your apartment, in your neighborhood, with your family, friends, neighbors. You are not spectators, you are not the public, you are citizens and you must be protagonists”, this is the call made by Andrés Caleca, former independent presidential candidate, to all Venezuelans to achieve maximum participation on July 28 to guarantee the victory of Venezuela, said Edmundo González.

In the program hosted by Elsa Siciliano, Mario Villegas and Jesús Torrealba on Radio Rumbos, Caleca added what he has been preaching for months, that there needs to be witnesses at each table and that “their actions must be supported”. Working throughout the day, among other things, guaranteeing them food and, above all, at the end of the voting process, so that they are not removed from the table and leave with the minutes in their hands. “We have to organize for this.”

He also warned against “spontaneism”, which is why he once again called on all citizens to be promoters of voting and to convince those who abstain and guarantee the ability to vote for those who have some obstacles or who currently live far from the center. “We all have to commit to the hauling operation.”

On the other hand, he drew attention to assisted voting, which is an effective mechanism for people with physical disabilities to vote, but which the PSUV could use to force citizens to vote for Nicolás Maduro. “The members of the board must guarantee compliance with the law in this matter.”

Caleca said that in a democracy, the entity that should be vigilant to avoid electoral fraud is the National Electoral Council. He asked himself: “Do we trust Elvis Amoroso? Can the Venezuelan opposition trust a man who until a few months ago disqualified possible presidential candidates? Members of the ruling party. We can’t trust that man. We can trust our own power, which is the power that voting gives us, so we must go to the polls. Let witnesses and voters be observers who scrutinize.”
